Katey Mushlin, Improvisation Lead Instructor & Director
Katey is so incredibly thrilled and honored to be a part of the Comedy Playground family for so many years!! After honing her skills in New York, Boston & Austin, TX, Katey came to LA to study improv & sketch comedy, and is a graduate of both The Second City LA and ImprovOlympic West. She has enjoyed performing in various sketch & improv shows throughout the years at Second City, IO West, ACME Comedy Theatre, UCB, The Comedy Central Space & The M Bar, and was seen as a bridesmaid in the LA production of Tony & Tina’s Wedding at The Henry Fonda Theatre.
Katey is extremely proud to be on the Improv Faculty at AMDA Los Angeles, The Strasberg Institute, & LA CITYstage, and to be the very happy coach for The Family Van, a professional long form improvisation team, performing all throughout Los Angeles. Katey is also a director with Theatre 31, producing musicals for children in Santa Monica & Venice. But Sunday is always the happiest day of the week, because she gets to share it with all of these incredible teen comics!! How lucky!
